The NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships get underway Thursday at Colorado State University/Pueblo's ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado.

Four athletes with Washington ties kick off the three day event, starting with Central Washington sprinter E'Lexis Hollis (CWU Athletics photo), who goes in the prelims of the women's 100 at 5:10 pm Pacific time.

A trio of runners from GNAC champion Western Washington also will run on Thursday, led by Drew Weber, who competes in the men's 1500 prelims at 4:00 pm.

Ila Davis of the Vikings,  who has the seventh fastest time in the NCAA D2 ranks at 10:21.10, goes in the women's steeplechase at 5:40 pm, while Jeret Gillingham goes in the men's steeple at 6:10 pm.

Friday, Seattle Pacific's lone qualifier, David Njeri competes in the men's triple jump finals at 4:05 pm.

On the track, Central Washington's Lauryn Chandler will try to qualify for the finals in the women's 100 hurdles at 5:35 pm.

Thirty minutes before Chandler runs, Western Washington's Marian Ledesma goes in the women's 800, followed immediately by Viking teammate Drew Weber in the prelims of the men's 800.

Should Davis and Gillingham survive Thursday's prelims in the steeplechase, the finals are at 6:15 and 6:30 pm, respectively on Friday.

Saturday are the finals in the women's 100 hurdles and dash, men's and women's 800s, and men's 1500.
